Beeswax is made by honeybees to build their home in the hive and store honey and pollen. Once the extra honey is extracted by the beekeeper, the empty honeycombs are melted, filtered, and poured into candle molds and vessels. It’s that simple! There’s no need to add artificial colors or fragrances to make it appealing, unlike soy or paraffin candles. It also burns brighter than any other wax, emits air-purifying negative ions, and diffuses the sweet scent of honey.

We make our candles as affordable as possible, and each candle is handmade by us in our candle studio in Millersburg, Ohio. We use wooden or organic cotton wicks and only source beeswax directly from American beekeepers.

I started making and selling beeswax candles for my dad’s business back in 2021. The demand and my amazement for beeswax grew together, developing into a passion to spread the beeswax love.

By the time Jaden came along, this beeswax side hustle had grown and was ready to stand on its own feet. So in July 2025, we bought it from Tonn’s Honey and relaunched as Golden Hour Beeswax.
